Yana Gupta (or Yaana Gupta) is a model and item number dancer. She has a natural beauty, enhanced by peaches and cream complexion, drop-dead gorgeous looks, a stunning figure, and a statuesque height of 5' 9" - ingredients that are guaranteed to sweep men completely off their feet.
Yana Gupta was born on 23rd April 1979 in Czechoslovakia (now the Czech Republic) and began modelling in the mid 1990's at the age of 16.
After graduating in Park Architecture and Gardening, she left for Japan, where she modeled for a considerable period of time.
Her real name is Yana Synkova which she changed after marriage. Her career took a turn toward the east when she married Indian artist Satya Gupta and changed her last name from Synkova to Gupta. After her marriage, she continued her modeling stints in Mumbai with Limca, MTV, Lakme, and made her entry into Bollywood with an item in 'Dum'. However, She divorced Satya Gupta in 2005. In 2008 she altered her given name to Yaana.
In 2001 she was named as the new face for 'Lakme cosmetics in India', replacing former Lakme model Lisa Ray.
Yana has been modelling since the age of 16, worked in Milan, Paris and Vienna, even working on brands like Nivea and Shiseido before settling India, where her husband is based.
Yana made her big screen debut in the Bollywood movie Dum for the song Babuji Zara Dheere Chalo which made her famous for cameo item numbers.
She has also appeared in south Indian language movies including Telugu, Tamil, Kannada movies. She is also very famous for her song "Kadhaal Yaanai" from the blockbuster Tamil film Anniyan (dubbed in Hindi as Aparichit), "Aadatanama" from the Telugu film Gharshana, and "Akaleste..." opposite Mega star Chiranjeevi from the Telugu film Shankar Dada Zindabad.
Before her career in Bollywood, she modeled for international clients like Calvin Klein and Victoria's Secret.
