There was a yesteryear actress with the same name Saira Banu (or Saira Bano) in the Bollywood. She is a very old actress who married Dilip Kumar, popular Bollywood actor of those times.


Saira Bhanu, and cinema item dancer Jyoti along with few others were caught by the Hyderabad Police. They were caught red handed by the police as they were involved in prostitution in a house near Kundanbagh, close to Minister's Quarters, in Hyderabad.


A raid at the premises was carried out by the police on 21st August night and the actresses were interrogated the whole day on Sunday. The media was briefed about their arrest only on 23rd August, 2010 Monday.

However, both of them were released on bail by the court. It is heard that Saira Bhanu stated that she was called by a cinema manager and she went but she didn’t have anything to do with the
prostitution. However, the police sources have got another version. Anyways, what matters is that both of them are out now.


The rumors spreading in film nagar circles that Tollywood hero Raviteja's brother Bharath and Saira Bhanu are living together and unmarried couple it seems. It is said that Saira Bhanu is Bharath's partner in this drugs racket it seems. The duo not only addicted to drugs but also used to supply them to other film stars in the industry it seems. For Saira Bhanu, her name was also featuring in the phone list of the Uganda Nationalist Victor phone book in connection with drugs.


Saira Bhanu in our context is a new young actress who mainly acted in Telugu films (Tollywood). She either does glamorous roles as supporting actress or some item songs which are popularly featured in a lengthy time frame in Tollywood films. This is done to add some so-called Masala to the films in other words some spicyness to the films.
